BALPA CONFIRM FURTHER VIRGIN TALKS

The British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA) has confirmed that a further meeting with management of Virgin Atlantic has now been set for September 6.
Talks to avoid confrontation between the airline and its pilots were adjourned last Tuesday without agreement.
The dispute is over the way the company is interpreting an agreement on the minimum number of rostered days off.
These 120 rostered days off per year are the equivalent of an office worker's weekends and bank holidays.
BALPA's National Executive Council will be hearing a report on the dispute on Thursday this week, September 2, and reviewing plans for industrial action in the event that talks fail'
