Terms and Conditions for Use of BALPA Blog
By accessing “BALPA Blog” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “Blog”, “BALPA Blog”, “http://www.balpa.org/My-Airline.aspx”, you agree to be legally bound by the following Terms of Use (‘the Terms’). If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the Terms then you may not access and/or use “BALPA Blog”. We may change the Terms at any time and we will do our utmost to keep you informed of any amendments to them, but you should review the Terms regularly , because your continued use of “BALPA Blog” after changes to the Terms and Conditions have been made will mean that by your conduct you agree to the updated Terms and Conditions, as and when updates take place.

The Terms and Conditions’ relation to this particular membership product/service are implemented in conjunction with and reinforced by the BALPA Rules. By using the BALPA Blog as part of your membership you are subject to all BALPA Rules.

BALPA Blog is part of a restricted access website. Nevertheless, you are responsible for your account. You agree that you shall not share your log-in details or password with non-BALPA members, and you shall not allow non-BALPA members to read the blog, either online or in printed or in any other form. You also agree NEVER to use another member’s account to post messages or browse BALPA Blog. Additionally, all information upon BALPA Blog is confidential, and you agree that you shall not discuss or share the information published on BALPA Blog with any third parties, unless they are BALPA members or officers.

You agree that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, abusive, racist, discriminatory, vulgar, insulting, hateful, obscene, threatening, confidential, invasive of a person’s privacy, amounts to harassment of a third party or is otherwise unlawful or illegal. You agree not to post any lengthy articles, or post anything of an overtly political or religious nature.
Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, repetitive self-post replies, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this blog.

Links promoting fundraising, advocacy, etc. are not permitted. Links to personal blogs/homepages are not allowed.

You also agree not to post any material which is prejudicial to BALPA’s objectives or policy or that would bring BALPA into disrepute (to do so would potentially subject you to action under Rule 9 of BALPA’s Rules, ‘Discipline and Obligations of Membership’).  Postings that seek to maliciously and deliberately undermine BALPA membership such as promoting an alternative organisation would fall into this category.

Further, you agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. You also agree not to infringe any intellectual property rights whatsoever, including in relation to trade marks, passing off, or patents.

Note that it is impossible for BALPA to confirm the validity of postings on BALPA Blog and that BALPA is not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information presented. The messages express only the views of the author, not the views of BALPA.

Objectionable content should be notified to the administrator of this blog immediately by  email on webmaster@balpa.org or by telephone on 0208 476 4000. BALPA has the right to remove any objectionable content within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so BALPA may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and you agree to indemnify BALPA against any claims by third parties, liabilities or costs that may arise from messages posted by you on BALPA Blog.

You agree to use moderation in all of your postings and you agree to accept the judgment of the moderators in the execution of their duties.

Although BALPA will not voluntarily disclose any of your personal data, including your name and email address to a third party, BALPA reserves the right to do so if ordered to by a court or other legal entity, or if asked to do so by the Police, or any other entities that could require BALPA to disclose your personal data.

In the event that you breach any term of this agreement or any BALPA Rules, BALPA reserves the right to apply blogging restrictions and permissions, suspend your membership of this blog and/or ban you permanently.

We emphasise that a breach of the Terms can lead to you being disciplined under BALPA’s Rules.
