The cause of the incident will need to be investigated independently and thoroughly to ensure that this doesn’t happen again. Aviation has an excellent safety record because of the strong culture of learning from accidents and incidents without blame.
However, what is clear right now is that we have again this week seen the incredible skills that pilots have to make sure that every flight ends safely, even in the most dramatic incidents. This is a true testament to their skills, experience and training.
