Privacy Statement for Job Applicants

We only collect information we need to process and make a decision about your application.

At the application stage we will process the information you have provided to manage the recruitment process, access and confirm your suitability and eligibility for employment and in making a decision as to whether to interview or offer employment.  We rely on our legitimate interests as a reason for processing data, and we have considered whether or not those interests are overridden by the rights and freedoms of future employees and have concluded they are not.

We may process health information if we intend to make reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process for those candidates that declare they have a disability and this requires us to make reasonable adjustments in so far as attendance at interview or when an employee requires such adjustments for interview.  We will carry out our obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to employment.

We will not use your data for any purpose other than the recruitment exercise you have applied for.  We do not provide any information to unsuccessful candidates.

Your information will only be available to the recruitment panel for the purpose of the recruitment exercise.

Unless your application for employment is successful, we will not share your information, and any application details will be held securely and only disclosed to the recruitment panel.  No information relating to your application will be shared with third parties.
