IAG pilot unions sign cooperation agreement
BALPA, IALPA and SEPLA, together representing more than 9,000 pilots, have signed an agreement setting out how the IAG Pilots Alliance (IAGPA) will function, cooperate and conduct its work.
The agreement is a significant achievement for IAGPA and follows a number of months of work between the unions. It represents an important step in strengthening cooperation and delivering better outcomes for pilots across the IAG network.
Chris Jones, BALPA’s Director of Industrial Relations and Employment Policy, said:
“The IAG Pilots Alliance creates a strategic link in supporting pilots across the UK and with our international allies. Aviation will always be an international industry, and it is only right that we work with fellow pilot unions across the IAG network to represent and champion pilots within the group.
This announcement is an important foundation for strengthening pilot representation across IAG.”
