Amy Leversidge has stepped down as BALPA’s General Secretary.

Amy was elected as General Secretary in January 2024 and made an incredible difference to BALPA, notably commissioning the independent review into BALPA’s culture, the independent review into governance and a restructure that greatly expanded our already talented team. Amy held BALPA Together, a two-day event in which the NEC, staff and reps from across flight safety committees and company councils came together to develop BALPA’s vision, purpose and principles, the first time BALPA had ever held an event like this in our history.

During’s Amy’s leadership we’ve seen increasing membership, income and significant modernisation across the organisation. Amy has led BALPA with integrity and purpose; BALPA’s influence and strength professionally, industrially and politically has significantly increased under Amy’s leadership.
